School – Primary Catholic School Location – Northern Brisbane Suburbs. Enrolment – 52 Number of staff – 10 (5 teaching/5 support staff) Library Staff – 1 TL for 2 days a week. No library aides or technicians. 2 volunteers on a regular basis. Collection size – 17, 000 (large collection for small number of students) Library Budget - $4000 Students – Multicultural school with 25 Indigenous and 17 ESL students. Four multi-age classes (Prep/1, 2/3, 4/5, 6/7)
Students have diverse needs. Verified students: 1 Occupational Therapy, 5 Social-Emotional, 10 Speech language, 6 literacy support.
Students are from low-socio economic background. There is a school bus that picks up and drops off students each morning. This bus plays a crucial role in mantaining enrolments. ICT equipment in library – 3 computers, wall projector, flip video, 4 laptops (used in classrooms also) School Review - In 2011 the school was reviewed by Brisbane Cathoic Education. A change new Principal in 2012 and the creation a Futures Work Party is ensuring the sustaniablity of the school.
